Kitabmandal

Mission Statement

The South Asia Reading Group (aka Kitabmandal) has been meeting at the University of Michigan campus since Winter Term 1999. As a Rackham Interdisciplinary Workshop, Kitabmandal brings together faculty, graduate students, other local scholars, and occasionally people from the community at large to convene for serious critical discussion of scholarly books, published research articles, or draft manuscripts about South Asia. For 2010-2011, the group will meet at 5:30pm on every third Thursday of the month at 1644 SSWB for two-hour sessions.
